Infamous Local Fest was a joint-effort between the club I helped orchestrate, Half-Stack Sessions, and Tone Madison, a culture and news website. We wanted to start a music-based festival that actually helped the artists in our community get the resources they need to “make it big” in the local scene. This grant narrative successfully won us an award the helped us to pay the awesome artists who facilitated workshops and bands who played at our opening night show.

Half-Stack Sessions was a club I helped run that served marginalized genders in the local music scene. When the Me Too movement finally, inevitably, hit the Madison music scene, I led the co-authorship of a “response” to the situation with my fellow organizers. I’m really proud of the piece we put together and hope you’ll read it.
